GIVE THANKS, GET HEALTHY:
Science shows that a little gratitude can go a long way

Being thankful can be good for your health. Research has shown that people who write lists of things they're grateful for spend more time exercising and sleep better than those who don't. "Gratitude is like putting on a new pair of glasses,"says Charles Shelton, a Jesuit priest and psychologist at Regis University. "We see things in different ways," Like exercise, gratitude has to become a habit to worl. And like exercise, it gets easier. Try it: Keep a journal, pray or meditate. Write what you're grateful for on index cards and toss them in a blessing jar to read over when you're blue. Or put the jar on the dinner table to spread your gratitude and good health.
